Sneak Attack One Year Anniversary Celebration a Huge Success!

Way to go Sneakers!!!

This past Thursday, September 24, the Etsy Sneak Attack Team celebrated it's one year anniversary! It was an amazing success! There were several giveaways during the day and into the evening, while people chatted on a forum just for the celebration.

Winner of giveaway #1, a Neclace and Bracelet from BusyBeadingRunsWithScissors4, was Glenda of WinterGarden.

Winner of giveaway #2, a Chocolate Covered Caramel Jewelry Pouch from JewelrybyAllisonB, was Jennifer of iWunder .

Winner of giveaway #3, an LED Lamp Base by fromMarz and an Ornate Original Drawing from VerveInteriors, was Deanna of BadonHill.

Winner of the Grand Prize Giveaway, a huge basket of items donated from SneakTeam members, too numerous to mention, was Betsy of ComfyHome.

In holding to their mission, the sneakers Sneak Attacked three Etsy shops with few or no sales. Click here to see what the HandmadeMovement is all about.

The shop 'victims' were as follows:
RRBoudin.etsy.com  with 10 sales from the Sneak Attack.
FlatFlowerCards.etsy.com with 35 sales from the Sneak Attack.
LisaJeanNaturals.etsy.com with 8 sales from the Sneak Attack.

Also Sneak Attacked for the big One Year Anniversary Sneak Attack event was  the founder of the Sneak Attack, Michael Phipps of phippsart.etsy.com and of  ScatterbrainTees.com. Members of the SneakTeam, both past and present, and attack victims from the past year pulled off the sneakiest of all Sneak Attacks!

phippsart.etsy.com had a whopping 55 sales in the Sneak Attack!

And for one of the most talkative groups of people, the SneakTeam, they managed to keep this secret for several months! An amazing feat in itself, if you knew the SneakTeam! However, as much as they like to talk, they like to show their love with thier wallets! At last count, there was a total of 108 sales!

So, congratulations to the giveaway winners, the Sneak Attack 'victims,' and to the SneakTeam members, for making this past year such a huge success, and kick starting the second year with a big bang!

My Pledge to Myself

I'm pledging to do everyting possible to feature a fellow artist once a week on my blog. There are so many talented people out there, that I admire. I would love to help others know them and love them as much as I do.

So, I shall put on my thinking cap, and begin plotting who will be my first featured artist.

Win Fantastic Prizes and Join in the Sneak Attack Team's One Year Anniversary

Hello everyone!

Would you like to win a fantastic basket of goodies, worth over $300? How about three other giveaways with awesome handmade prizes? Well, this just might be your lucky week! This Thursday is an extremely important day to a lot of Etsy Artisans and Merchants. It is the one year anniversary of the official Sneak Attack.

For those of you that don't know what a Sneak Attack is, I will give you the short and sweet version. Two days a week, many fellow Etsians will converge on a new shop/s that have few or no sales. They purchase an item, sometimes more than one, thus giving the new shop/s numerous sales in a short amount of time. Therefore, becoming the so called 'Sneak Attack.'

This gives a sort of foot up, so to speak, to the shop owner. Often it is just the encouragement needed to help out the new artists and merchants.  The Handmade Movement site will give you a much more detailed explaination of what a Sneak Attack is.

On Thursday, September 24th, The Handmade Movement and the Etsy Sneak Attack Team will be holding a huge party, with a total of 4 giveaways. One lucky person will win the Grand Prize gift basket, containing more than $300 in prizes.

Everyone is invited to join the giveaway, simply by going to The Handmade Movement and clicking on the Weekly Giveaway logo on the right side of the page. There will be instructions there on how to register to win any of the prizes awarded that day.

Join in on the fun beginning on Tuesday, September 22nd, at the Anniversary Forum Thread where the celebration begins early and runs till the big party on Thursday. Many of the Sneak Attack Team members are having Anniversary sales to run concurrent with the celebration, so drop in to the thread and get some great deals!

The climax comes on Thursday evening at 7pm EST, when the Sneak Attack Team will again converge on some new 'victims.'  All are welcome to join this event, membership to the team is not a prerequisite to joining in the Sneak Attack. If you would like to join in, just go to The Handmade Movement site at 7pm EST, and the shop name or names will be posted for all to go shop it.

Spreading My Wings in the Blogger World

I begin my new year of life with a new shop, a new blog, and a new appreciation for all those working moms that find time to do it all. Those moms that find time to work outside the home, time to do the blogging, time to craft their handmade art, and still have time to raise an awesome family.

I want to share some of my art with you. I hope that you will enjoy my work, as much as I love creating it. I also hope to share some of my steps in becoming the kind of mom that I have a new appreciation for.
Today is the first day of so many new things in my life.A new year.
A new shop.
A new blog.
A new appreciation for moms.
